Community play and healing time– Turn towards your body with curiosity! Explore how breath, sound and visualizations transform energy in your body.
Play is a beautiful way to restore and deepen connection to yourself– rooting in curiosity instead of control. Many of us are taught to control and stifle our voices, cutting us off from this powerful way to soothe our nervous systems (by toning the vagus nerve), care for ourselves, and connect.
We'll weave together three powerful practices–breathwork, sound and visualizations–to transform energy. No formal singing, just making random sounds to feel your voice and power. All practices are optional, and you're welcome to turn off your camera/mic throughout.
Our Journey
1. Ground/bodyscan, introductions, vagus nerve overview, check-in
2. Clearing energy–calming breath, voice and energy visualization
3. Journaling on your relationship to your voice, breath and body, taking up space, expressing needs and wants
4. Option to share
5. Expansive practice–open mouth 3-part breath, voice, energy visualization
6. Journaling
7. Close with protection visualization
What to Expect: During breathwork you will ideally be laying down, completely horizontal on your back. Your mic will be off during vocalizing, and you have the option of turning off your camera if that helps you feel more at ease. All practices are completely optional, please listen to your intuition.
Who This is Appropriate For: There are many different forms of breathwork, and with appropriate caution breathwork can be a powerful tool for anyone. If you are in the first trimester of pregnancy or have any of the following health conditions, please consult your physician before participating in breathwork to ensure it is appropriate. Especially the open mouth breath may not be appropriate for folks with: cardiovascular disease, epilepsy, family history of aneurysm, glaucoma (not controlled by medication), high blood pressure (not controlled by medication), retinal detachment, severe osteoporosis, strokes and neurological conditions.
I'm Nidhi Jain, a breathwork, meditation and pilates instructor in Brooklyn, NY, on land of the Munsee Lenape people. My style is rooted in the seasons, lunar cycle, elements, ancestors, and belief that your intuition is your greatest guide. I love dance and singing and believe creativity is an incredible force for change, internal and external. I believe embodiment practices are fundamental to building the compassionate inclusive world I dream of, because they allow each of us to get to the root—dismantling internalized racism, patriarchy, colonialism, transphobia, and all separation. This deep healing allows us to sustain through the complex systemic and cultural work needed to create a just, free society.

What Is Sliding Scale?
We provide all of our community offerings and some private sessions by sliding scale. We believe everyone is entitled to heal their wounds so they can thrive; we also believe that the wellness and healing practitioners deserve to make a living wage. In order to make this possible, we ask you to pay as much as you can, so those who might not be able to pay as much can still receive their healing session - this is the idea behind 'paying it forward'. We are all in this together, and we choose to do our best to take care of one another.
Thank you in advance!
