Temazcal / Sweat Lodge

One of the gifts we were blessed with the privilege of planting on this sacred Mohican land last season is a Temazcal or sweat lodge. The lodge is a space of healing and blessing used by Indigenous peoples from North and Central America. This lodge was built in the Mexica tradition by Moondancers from Puerto Rico, Canada, and Costa Rica in 2021. It faces the Southeast and honors the Ollin ( sacred movements of the universe).

Lodges are led by Sunder Ashni, a Moondancer in this tradition for 9 years in Metzliyolotlitzin, under the guidance of Abuela Ana Itzpapalotl in Puriscal, Costa Rica.

Sunder Ashni, daughter of Cynthia and Allan, is a Flower Essence therapist, IET Practitioner, Reiki Master, healing channel, educator and a private practitioner of Somatic Experiencing, born and raised in Brooklyn, NY with rich roots in the island of St. Vincent & The Grenadines.

Ashni facilitates ceremonies, meditations, and experiences permeated with love that cultivate radical awareness, appreciation of self, and overall ecstatic wellness within participants and their community with the intention of re-cultivating a deep connection with our Earth mother.

What Is Sliding Scale?

We offer all of our community offerings and some private sessions by Sliding Scale.

We believe everyone is entitled to heal their wounds so they can thrive; we also believe that the wellness and healing practitioners deserve to make a living wage. In order to make this possible, we ask you to pay as much as you can, so those who might not be able to pay as much can still receive their healing session - this is the idea behind 'paying it forward'. We are all in this together, and we choose to do our best to take care of one another.
