Join us for a collaborative creation of the Liberation Mirror Altar on February 10th, the first day of the Lunar New Year, as we gather by the river to ask the land and water to carry our sincere prayers for an immediate and permanent end to Israel’s bombardment, siege, and blockade of Gaza.
This is a non-denominational, Earth-based prayer gathering to amplify the short-term call by Palestinians in Gaza and in exile for a ceasefire; and to nurture collective energy for long-term, sustained action on behalf of a free Palestine.
A call came from the Warikatu people of Mexico via @sincroniawirikuta and @madre.jaguar to activate a global and synchronized altar for the children of Gaza. We are answering the call by dedicating this altar to all of the children of occupied Palestine — past, present, and future.
Mirror altars are created to: connect with land & community, connect with global prayer in benefit of mother earth & all her creation, weave together the renewal of our world, renew our agreements with life, and create a web of support along with the guardians of the land.
This gathering falls on the Lunar New Year, the day we begin the year of the Yang Wood Dragon, also known as Thunder Dragon.

“One of the challenges in a dragon year is to move beyond our personal biases in order to understand the broader picture, to grasp context and scale. There will be an impulse to react and rebound from the enormity of dragon qi. Don’t try to manage dragon’s boundlessness by being small. You will be very confused if you don’t participate in scaling up — meaning getting out of your ego-fixation, your partiality and biases, your small sense of self. Riding the dragon requires grasping the multiplicity of bodies that make up who we are. Dragon encourages us to live in our expansiveness and plurality, the many collective bodies we inhabit.”
Together, we are the multiplicity that swells to create unstoppable waves.

Paying it Forward
We provide most of our community offerings and private sessions by sliding scale. This is based on the idea of ‘paying it forward’ which enables more people to access healing and wellness. This works when people pay as much as they can for our offerings to help others who may be less fortunate be able to gain access, too. We believe everyone is entitled to heal and thrive, and that practitioners deserve to earn a living wage. We are all in this together and choose to do our best to take care of one another.
