Come meet the medicinal plants thriving in the wilds of Brooklyn in our shared backyard of Prospect Park. I will introduce you to the plants and share the knowledge of their medicine, both practical and spiritual. We'll tap into our intuition, use our senses, to discern which plants call to us and why.

I will introduce you to our local plant community and share the knowledge of their medicine, both practical and spiritual. We'll tap into our intuition, use our senses, to discern which plants call to us and why. Learn how to correctly identify, harvest, and partner with the plants for healing and wellness.

Liz Neves is an herbal educator, dream circle facilitator, meditation guide, reiki, and healing drum practitioner, and mama living and teaching in Brooklyn, NY. She’s the author of Northeast Medicinal Plants: Identify, Harvest, and Use 111 Wild Herbs for Health and Wellness (Timber Press).
Her classes are inspired by herbalism, earth-based spirituality, and ancient wisdom teachings. She has come to this path led by her experiences - of leaving the corporate world, of becoming a mother, of guidance from dreams. Liz believes we learn our greatest lessons directly from the natural world, from dreams, from the plants, and from our own internal guidance.

Paying it Forward
We provide most of our community offerings and private sessions by sliding scale. This is based on the idea of ‘paying it forward’ which enables more people to access healing and wellness. This works when people pay as much as they can for our offerings, to help others who may be less fortunate be able to gain access, too. We believe everyone is entitled to heal and thrive, and that practitioners deserve to earn a living wage. We are all in this together and choose to do our best to take care of one another. Thank you for being part of the MINKA community!
