This class will be recorded, and will be later shared as a pre-recorded session. You will have an option of not being on the camera and communicating using the chat function instead of speaking into the microphone.

In Japan, March 3rd is known as ‘Hinamatsuri’, a day of celebration for young women’s health, happiness and prosperity. This celebration is accompanied by a tiered display of dolls to imitate imperial wedding - a beloved yet incomplete expression of what satisfies women.

I am offering this session in remembrance of the origin of the tradition, which is rooted in purification. It is said, the ritual of making paper or straw dolls and casting them in the river or ocean came from China during the Heian period to Japan as a purification ritual for us to release our impurities.

In the indigenous Japanese belief system, all beings share the spirit of the Divine/Source - therefore, we are encouraged to practice purification in order for us to return to this divine expression. On this day, we will create a ritual to tap into the pure essence of Free Feminine that counters the limiting tradition of marriage as the happiness for those who were born with Uterus and ovaries. We will co-create a space to examine the limited expression of the Feminine within ourselves, in order for us to tap deeper into what’s waiting to be freed.

Please bring:

Paying it Forward
We provide most of our community offerings and private sessions by sliding scale. This is based on the idea of ‘paying it forward’ which enables more people to access healing and wellness. This works when people pay as much as they can for our offerings to help others who may be less fortunate be able to gain access, too. We believe everyone is entitled to heal and thrive, and that practitioners deserve to earn a living wage. We are all in this together and choose to do our best to take care of one another. Thank you for being part of the MINKA community!
