PARTNERS

  • Oko Urban Farms, popularly known as Oko Farms, is an Aquaponics Farm and Education Company in Brooklyn, New York.

They built their first farm in 2013 when they converted an abandoned lot in East Williamsburg, Brooklyn into the Oko Farms Aquaponics Education center - NYC's first outdoor (and only publicly accessible) aquatic farm.

Their second farm, built in 2021 is located in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, right next to the East River.

On both farms, they cultivate a variety of fresh water fish and plants using a recirculating closed loop system known as AQUAPONICS.

  • The directors of Bluming Studio and Carriage House Birth have come together to create Grand Street Healing Project, a space for practitioners, hosts and leaders to provide their services and organize events. They have treatment rooms and a glorious community rooms. They also opened up limited equipment rentals to certified Pilates and GYROTONIC teachers.

Grand Street Healing Project also hosts several practitioners from the community and beyond, giving you access to a range of healing services in their Williamsburg location.

  • Yaad wellness is located in the Historic Main street of Catskill NY, founded by Taganyahu Swaby who has been one of MINKA's original practitioner members since 2016.

Opened its door in 2021, Yaad Wellness aims to 'communify' instead of 'gentrify'. It is a brave community space where folks are invited to engage in healing, movement, creativity and conversation. As a relative newcomer to the Hudson Valley from Brooklyn, Tagan is sensitive to the changing demographics of the area, and utilizing healing and community activation space to promote wellness not only in clients' mind and body but also within the larger community.

  • A community where the sense of connection, purpose, authenticity, agency, inspiration, and wonder is restored. Their flower essence remedies, workshops and certification program are rooted in a Neo-Ancient understanding of health, humanity, nature and the cosmos.

This school was founded by one of MINKA mystery school faculty, Lindsay Fauntleroy.

  • Urban Asanas is a Yoga Studio and Wellness Center for the community. The first of its kind in the neighborhood of Crown Heights, Brooklyn.

We offer the benefits of yoga—health, light, spirituality—while maintaining the strength and diversity of the people we serve. Our focus is on movement through music, collaboration, and heart. Urban Asanas welcomes yoga practitioners of all levels and from all socio-economic backgrounds.

  • Lindai’s Bodywork is a sanctuary for healing and holistic health that came alive with the purpose of providing a holistic approach with high quality services, specifically Traditional Thai Massage, Reiki, 13th Octave LaHoChi and the Raindrop Technique.

Another big part and goal is to educate and share these healing modalities, so people have the tools for their own self-care and don't have to rely on a practitioner. The vision is to empower people to take care of themselves.

We encourage and support fellow entrepreneurs who align with our values and are on a similar mission to help people heal themselves and make this world a better place.

  • The MINKA Brooklyn and Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health partnership was created to bring in embodied equity and decolonization for all to elevate their personal and professional wellness practices.

This is an active demonstration of the cocreation of a liberated future without competition and perfectionism to support the ability to show up in this work wholly. We are utilizing this opportunity to bring the wisdom of historically and currently marginalized communities to the forefront.

Thank you for joining us on this journey as we boldly step into this work together.
