Prenatal Counseling & Body-Centered Hypnosis for Childbirth -  This is a very powerful tool for helping women adapt to the individual nature of their childbirth experience.  Whereas some forms of hypnotherapy involve dissociation from bodily experience, body-centered hypnosis deepens a woman's bodily sensation, taken her into a focused experience of her physiological processes.  Body-centered hypnotic suggestions are communicated through a variety of images and sensations, to the somasthetic cortices of the brain, which will later be triggered by the physical process of pregnancy and labor.  By addressing and working through anxieties around childbirth and motherhood successfully in hypnosis and counseling, then maternal anxiety lessens, and labor is more likely to progress smoothly.  This is a 4-session counseling program which includes: Assessment, Body-Centered Hypnosis, Pain Work, and Postpartum sessions.

Birthing Class - A childbirth class is a great way to prepare for labor and birth. Depending on where you go, classes range from a one-day intensive workshop to weekly sessions lasting a month or more. The typical class consists of lectures, discussions, and exercises, all led by a trained childbirth instructor.

Women's Womb Circle - Every Friday @ noon - an afternoon gathering of mamas, babies, tea, and circle time. We come together to support one another on this journey of parenting-- caring for and raising our little ones in the best way we can, for us and for them. This circle hour will provide you space to share, listen, ask questions and celebrate this journey. Babies welcome. Pregnant mamas welcome. New and not-so-new mamas welcome. 1 to 1 lactation support available after the circle.

Birth/labor Doula - A doula is a professional trained in childbirth who provides emotional, physical, and educational support to a mother who is expecting, is experiencing labor, or has recently given birth. The doula’s purpose is to help women have a safe, memorable, and empowering birthing experience.  Most often the term doula refers to the birth doula, or labor support companion

Placenta EncapsulationPlacental encapsulation is the practice of ingesting the placenta after it has been steamed, dehydrated, ground, and placed into pills. Traditionally, this is taken by the mother and is believed to impart numerous health benefits.

Postpartum Doula - A postpartum doula serves a family in the sacred and intimate days following the birth of their baby. She offers support, wisdom and gives the mother and baby the chance to establish bonding and feeding.  She helps protect the vulnerability of the new mother in her tremendous role shift and lends a hand with household logistics to ease the transition into parenthood.

Lactation Consultation - Lactation consultants are professional breastfeeding specialists trained to teach mothers how to feed their baby. They help women experiencing breastfeeding problems, such as latching difficulties, painful nursing, and low milk production. A lactation consultant also helps babies who aren't gaining enough weight.
