About Melanie Monaco
Holistic Nutrition, Mindful Movement melaniemonaco.com
I am a certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach specializing in women’s health & weight management. Using proven practical tools, holistic nutrition, mindful movement, and positive psychology, I help women cultivate a healthy, balanced, and holistic lifestyle to manifest a body and life they truly love.
I guide individuals and groups, in person and virtually, through my step-by-step approach on how to rewrite strained relationships with food and body image through the life-changing power of self-love. Everybody is unique, so my approach centers around finding out how you can best serve your individual needs to become your healthiest self. We will identify your goals and incorporate manageable lifestyle changes, which will provide you with lasting results so that you can feel healthier and happier in all areas of your life.
My passion for wellness began at a very young age while I was practicing in my mother's yoga classes. It was her work as a teacher, and the way she helped so many of her students transform their bodies and lives, that inspired me to become a wellness professional as well. I was trained at Yogaworks in Santa Monica and Goodyoga in Brooklyn, NY and am an E-RYT (Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher, with 1,000+ hours of experience) through the Yoga Alliance. I am a certified Reiki Therapist through Glowing Heart Reiki School, an AFFA-Certified Group Fitness Instructor, and Certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. I have trained under Clarissa Pinkola Estes, author of Women Who Run With The Wolves and Shaman and Sacred Artist, Heyoka Merrifield. I am also a working multidisciplinary performance artist and founder of The Daughters Collective (thedaughterscollective.com), which is a collective of women-identifying artists who create work rooted in ritual.
